1. How long have you been in business?


We have been licensed in the state of Florida since 2002.


2. Do you work directly in the foreign countries or do you network with other adoption agencies?


We work directly with foreign sources. We do not network with other adoption agencies as we have found that we lose too much control of the adoption process, are dependent upon personnel in other agencies who may not be adept about dealing with problems, have little experience or knowledge of the country and may not place our clients in a priority position.


3. How many children do you bring home each year?


We complete approximately 25-30 adoptions per year.


4. Do you have staff in Guatemala?


Yes, we have staff in Guatemala. They provide day to day support to our agency staff and provide support to our families during travel to Guatemala.


5. How frequently does your staff travel to Guatemala?


We travel to Guatemala six to nine times per year.


6. Do you have a specific set of lawyers and foster mothers you routinely work with in Guatemala?


Yes, we work with several attorneys whom we have known and worked with for years. We have developed excellent relationships with our attorneys and they are top notch professionals. As such, we have worked with our foster mothers for years as well. Of course, we occasionally hire new foster mothers but for the most part, we have known and worked with our foster mothers for years as well.


7. Why should we choose to work with AdoptInternational as opposed to other adoption agencies?


AdoptInternational provides highly professional and personalized adoption service. The Executive Director, Candace O'Brien, is an attorney with many years of international corporate experience and 9 years of adoption experience. Candace is well-prepared to deal with the myriad of legal complications that can arise during the process both in the foreign country and with US immigration. Candace O'Brien oversees every placement and adoption case.
